Why working with us is different

Selling your business is one of the most personal decisions you will make. Mauzy Oak Capital offers an alternative to private equity or strategic buyers, offering stable, hands-on ownership with a clear succession plan:

Owner-operator leadership

Alex will step in as the working owner and provide dedicated, day-to-day management, not a board seat and a hired manager. Continuity and operational focus are the priority.

Legacy and culture preserved

Your employees, reputation, and the culture you built remain intact. Mauzy Oak Capital is not acquiring a business to absorb it into a larger entity or cut costs to hit a fund return.

Long-term ownership

This is not a platform play or a three-year hold. The intent is to own and operate for the long term, measured in decades, not exit timelines.

Straightforward structure

No institutional complexity. Fair terms, flexible deal structures, and the option for sellers to remain involved in transition on their own terms.

What working with us looks like

From initial conversation to close typically takes three to six months. Every step is confidential.

01 2–8 weeks

Introduction and alignment

We begin with confidential conversations to align on goals, values, and fit, followed by a high-level review of the business. If there is mutual interest, we outline preliminary terms in a Letter of Intent.

02 8–16 weeks

Due diligence and financing

We conduct a detailed review of financials, operations, and customer relationships. Key assumptions are confirmed and transaction terms are finalized. SBA financing is secured in parallel.

03 2–4 weeks

Closing and transition

Final documents are executed, funds are transferred, and ownership transitions. Seller involvement post-close is discussed and structured per agreed terms. There is no pressure to disappear at closing.
